NYPD
When I was 16 years old, I received my mother's permission to volunteer with the NYPD's Auxiliary Police Force. For eight years, I served my community with honor and distinction. I was promoted to Auxiliary Police Sergeant and was placed in charge of Recruit In-Service Training and Administrative Operations. I earned many awards and citations for bravery and dedication to duty. I left the Auxiliary Police when I was appointed to the PAPD.

HISTORY OF THE PAPD
The Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) was created by an Act of Congress on August 23, 1921. Members of the police force are designated Police Officers by Section §1.20, Sub-section §34K, Criminal Procedure Law, State of New York, 1972; and Peace Officers by Chapter §113, Laws of New Jersey, 1932.
The Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) is a bi-state law enforcement agency with jurisdiction in the States of New York and New Jersey. Their duties include, but are not limited to, protecting and enforcing state and city laws at all facilities, whether owned or operated by the Port Authority. The bi-state agency runs the major airports; seaports; bridges; tunnels; bus terminals; an interstate rail system; rail yards and new construction in lower Manhattan. The Port Authority Police has approximately 1,700 sworn police officers and is the largest transit-related police force in the United States.
In 1979, approximately 22,000 people applied to the PAPD. Approximately 12,000 people passed the written test and after an oral interview, a medical exam, a psychological exam and a physical agility test, my final placement on the hiring list of all applicants was 159.

DODPD
I applied to the federal government (DOD) and was hired as a Federal Police Officer. I worked 12 hour shifts where I performed motor and foot patrols of military installations. I enforced state and federal laws and because of my Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's), I was offered a higher graded position by another federal agency, the VAPD.

VAPD
After I was hired by the Dept. of Veterans Affairs as a Federal Police Officer, I completed their police academy in Little Rock, AR. When the time came for advancement, I applied for Police Sergeant and passed the exam. I was promoted to Desk Sergeant where I supervised several police squads. I became the agency's Key Control Officer; and I worked closely with the Investigations Division and the Office of Inspector General (OIG). Due to my excellent federal service, I was awarded an in-grade step promotion. I went back to the police academy where I became a Federal Firearms Instructor. When Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans with devastating force, I was one of the first to volunteer. I worked in New Orleans for 5 weeks. Because of my customer service to veterans, employees and civilians alike, I received numerous awards and commendations, which I am very proud of.
The Department of Veterans Affairs' official motto, which is a quote from President Lincoln's second inaugural address in 1865, reads, "To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan."

NGA MISSION STATEMENT
"The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has a responsibility to provide the products and services that decision makers, warfighters, and first responders need, when they need it most. As a member of the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DOD). NGA supports a unique mission set. We are committed to acquiring, developing and maintaining the proper technology, people and processes that will enable overall mission success. MY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Based upon my Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) and other professional accomplishments, I was interviewed for the position of Federal Police Lieutenant (Tour Commander). I was offered the position based on my strong work ethic and law enforcement record. I was assigned to the National Capitol Region (NCR), which was my Area of Operation (AO), which encompased the land in and around Washington, DC. I held a security clearance of Top Secret-Sensitive Compartmentalized Information with Counterintelligence Polygraph ("T/S SCI w/ CI Poly"). My duties included, but were not limited to: holding roll calls, assigning post coverage, testing officer awareness for Random Anti-Terrorism Measures (RAM's), post and facility inspections, conducting national security investigations, writing classified reports and working with other criminal agencies on the local, state and federal levels. I left the NGA when I had to address a serious family medical issue in New Jersey.
THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY
The NGA works with all branches of the armed forces, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the National Security Agency (NSA), the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the rest of the agencies that make up the Intelligence Community (IC). The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) coordinates all of America's IC assets for the sole purpose of protecting the United States and its citizens (see below).
